Well here it is.. A website, and it’s a blog. Blogs in the past have been owned exclusively by the nerds but it looks like everyone is getting in on the action. Since I’m a HUGE trend follower, I thought it was about time. Blogs are strange creatures.. They’re always there to remind you what you were thinking at a certain point in time which may or may not be a good thing..
A little bit about myself: My name is Lucky and I’m 25 years old. I love music in all of it’s forms: listening, playing, watching. I’ve developed a method of existence which allows me to have music all around me wherever i am (although i haven’t joined the ipod brigade)… I’ve discovered that i never remember the lyrics to songs because I’m too busy listening to the instrumental side of it… I’ve met other people who are the same and others who are totally the opposite and can remember every line from most songs (ie. my girlfriend Soph).
I played guitar in a band for 4 years and we released 1 EP and I’ve just started playing in a different band. I’ve been playing guitar for about 12 years or so which means I should be quite good (however, I’m not).
I’m about 18 months into a PhD in Medical Physics (which probably hints that I could have owned a blog a few years ago…) and hope to be finished in about 2 years or so… I’m not going to bore you with the details of it but i’ll just say what I’m working on will hopefully go towards an earlier detection of cancers like breast and lung cancer. So I think it’s essentially a good thing.
This website is basically a chance for me to show off my live music photography skills. I use the term “show off” very loosely as that implies that something is good, whereas i’m quite aware that my ones aren’t as good as some of the other cool photographers out there.
Eitherways, I’m only doing this in the hope that I can listen to lots of cool live music while taking photos too.
